Consider me your marketing fairy jobmother, but I won't turn your career into a pumpkin after midnight.
I'm here to help you become a marketing queen. To rise in the ranks at work. Or finally start that dream business of yours.
My career path to marketing was not something I expected. At all.
I graduated with a journalism degree from the University of Florida only to work in media relations in college sports. Then, I shifted over to my first director role at age 23, which required me to build a public relations and communications department from the ground up.
Slowly, more marketing responsibilities were being added to my plate. By the time I left the higher education industry, I had worked 14 years as a communications and marketing director. Along the way, I taught at the University of Florida, and I mentored 300 communications and marketing interns (not all at once, thankfully).
I left it all behind to go back to school for a master's degree in executive leadership to support my personal mission of helping more women advance in the workplace.
Now, 2 years later, I've built a career coaching business where I lead group coaching programs, corporate trainings, private coaching, workshops and mentorships, along with creating dozens of digital products, all designed to help women grow their career (and their bank accounts).
I still also run my marketing consulting business, something I started doing in 2017.
Like I said, this was not the career I was expecting.
I seriously thought I'd work in sports forever.
But now, I can't imagine doing anything else!
Hopefully, my story shows you that you can pursue new things.
You can learn.
You can grow.
And you don't always need a marketing degree to do it!
